During Washington State University’s 10th annual #CougsGive day of giving fundraiser, donors contributed over $1 million in a single day for the first time.

The 24-hour fundraising campaign on April 16 gathered 1,645 unique gifts, totaling $1.15 million, surpassing the previous record of nearly $800,000 set in 2022.

“It is notable to see the evolution of this campaign over the past decade,” said Spencer Farrin, director of annual giving and executive director of #CougsGive. “This initiative requires collaboration, planning, and creativity from WSU staff, volunteers, alumni, and donors. The successful culmination of efforts this week, resulting in record levels of support, reflects the culture at WSU.”

Since its inception in 2015, #CougsGive has received more than 12,000 donations, totaling $5.5 million.
