    Graduate students from the WSU history department will present the Fallen Cougars project on Thursday, May 22, from 7:00 – 8:00 pm in the Freight Room at the Pullman Depot Heritage Center, located next to the train cars. This project compiles information and photos to recognize individuals associated with the university who have served in the military.
  • Pavement Restoration Underway at White Ave in Moscow
    The City of Moscow is informing drivers about pavement restoration work along White Avenue between Mountain View Road and the Troy Highway. During this phase of the resurfacing, certain sections of White Avenue will be closed to through traffic. Access for residents will be maintained, and businesses without alternative access will also be accommodated.
  • Pullman Schools Hold Kindergarten Open House for Incoming Students
    Each Pullman School District elementary school will host an open house for children who will turn 5 years old by August 31, 2025, and are set to enter kindergarten in the upcoming school year. The events are scheduled from 4:30 to 6:00 pm on Thursday, May 29. Enrollment information will be available at the event.
  • 51 Year Old Moscow Man Pleads Guilty To Kidnapping His Ex-Girlfriend And Locking Her In Storage Unit
    A 51-year-old man from Moscow has pleaded guilty to charges of kidnapping his ex-girlfriend and confining her in a storage unit. Michael Dahl entered a guilty plea to 2nd degree felony kidnapping in Latah County Second District Court on Monday. He was taken into custody by Moscow Police in late March following an incident that led to the charges.

    Darby Road East of Moscow is closed today and Thursday due to construction work. The North Latah County Highway District has closed the road to facilitate the removal of an old concrete bridge and its replacement with a culvert. The road is scheduled to reopen on Thursday afternoon at 5:00. Paving of Darby Road will take place at a later date.
  • Port of Whitman County Receives Federal Grant to Cleanup Site for Proposed New Clinic in St. John
    The Port of Whitman County has been awarded a federal grant of $500,000 for the cleanup of the site intended for a new clinic in St. John. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency provided the grant to address the old gas station property located at Front and Main Streets. The port has announced further details regarding the project.
