A 19-year-old man from Pullman was arrested after allegedly leading a Washington State Patrol Trooper on a vehicle pursuit. The incident occurred when the trooper attempted to pull over a motorcyclist traveling south on North Grand Avenue around 10:00 AM on Tuesday. The motorcyclist reportedly failed to stop and continued to evade the trooper, making a U-turn south of Pullman at the junction of State Route 27 and U.S. Highway 195. The pursuit then returned to downtown Pullman, but the trooper discontinued the chase due to safety concerns.
Using the motorcycle’s license plate, law enforcement, with assistance from Washington State University and Pullman Police Departments, located the suspect, Carson Bailey, on College Hill. He was arrested for felony eluding. According to the Washington State Patrol, the chase reached speeds of up to 70 MPH just outside of Pullman.
