Two historic preservation projects in Latah County are being acknowledged with awards from the State of Idaho.

The Idaho Historic Preservation Commission is presenting Orchid Awards to the 1912 Center in Moscow and the Mercantile Building in Deary. The award for the 1912 Center is for the renovation of the 2nd floor of the former Moscow High School building, while the Deary Mercantile has been recognized for the preservation of what was previously the Deary Butcher Shop.

These projects will be honored at the upcoming Orchid Historic Preservation Awards celebration in Boise.
