The Officer Newbill Kids Safety Fair is scheduled for this weekend in Moscow, providing safety tips and resources aimed at children and parents.

Since its inception in 2005, the event has focused on promoting safety education for families in the Palouse area.

The 2025 safety fair will occur on Saturday, June 7, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Eastside Marketplace parking lot.

All activities at the event are free, including refreshments and bike helmets for children.

This event commemorates Officer Lee Newbill, who was the only Moscow police officer to die in the line of duty.
