Traffic delays are expected on State Route 26 near Washtucna for several weeks beginning Thursday. The Washington State Department of Transportation will be resurfacing the concrete deck on the bridge just east of Washtucna. Traffic will be limited to one lane over the bridge, with control managed by temporary traffic lights.
Graduation weekend is approaching at Washington State University, with over 2,400 students from Pullman earning their degrees. Three commencement ceremonies will take place at Beasley Coliseum on Saturday, scheduled for 8:00 AM, noon, and 3:30 PM. The final ceremony will feature guest speaker Jamie Kern Lima, a member of the WSU alumni.
The rail line in North Latah County has new ownership, with Bennett Lumber acquiring the section between the state line and their mill near Princeton.
