The Idaho Transportation Department’s Office of Highway Safety is encouraging all drivers and passengers to use seatbelts on every trip. Currently, 86% of Idaho residents wear seatbelts, which means a significant number of individuals are not. Research indicates that seatbelts can reduce the risk of fatal injury by more than 50%.
