A small wildfire occurred South of Palouse on Monday afternoon, briefly impacting a trailer home. The Whitman County Fire District 4 Volunteers responded to the incident on Estes Road around 5:00 PM. The fire affected less than an acre and resulted in damage to a chicken coop and a tree.
