A 31-year-old man has pleaded guilty to felony drug possession in Latah County Second District Court. Shaun Claypool admitted to a methamphetamine charge and was sentenced by Judge Megan Marshall to three years of probation, completion of a drug court program, and 100 hours of community service.
Claypool was arrested in July alongside 28-year-old Cyra Cunningham after Moscow Police found them sleeping in a vehicle on Lieuallen Street. A police drug detection dog uncovered methamphetamine, fentanyl pills, a scale, and a significant amount of cash inside the car. Initially, both individuals faced charges of felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Cunningham later pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor and received a sentence of 16 days in jail, which she had already served.
