A 50-year-old man from Pullman, Ali Ali, has been arrested on multiple felony charges, including third-degree child rape. The allegations came to light after Child Protective Services informed law enforcement, leading to an investigation. A detective and a CPS specialist conducted interviews with the alleged victim, a teenage girl, who identified Ali as the suspect.

The Whitman County Prosecutor’s Office was given a three-day window to file charges to keep Ali in custody. As of Wednesday, the office has announced that formal charges have not yet been filed, pending the completion of the investigation by Pullman Police Department.

The alleged victim has since relocated from the area. If charges are brought against Ali and he is convicted, he could face significant prison time.
