The Latah County Auditor’s Office is issuing 56 replacement absentee ballots for the upcoming special election due to an error in the sequencing numbers on the original ballots. These misprinted ballots cannot be processed by the county’s equipment. Officials have described the situation as a minor issue resulting from circumstances beyond their control.

The correct ballots are being sent to the absentee voters affected by this error. Voters in Moscow, Deary, and Genesee are not affected by the situation. The announcement also clarifies that it is not possible for anyone to vote multiple times.

Absentee voters in Latah County who receive a second replacement ballot are advised to use the correct one to participate in the May 20th election. Additionally, all absentee ballots requested after April 28th are not impacted by this issue.
