The Whitman County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in connection with an alleged drug sale involving methamphetamine. A 67-year-old man from Garfield, named Lawrence Kriebel, was taken into custody during a drug bust early Wednesday morning.
According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, deputies interacted with Kriebel online and monitored communications that indicated a potential drug sale. Law enforcement officials approached Kriebel early Wednesday on State Route 27 and Grinnell Road, located near Palouse. During the encounter, he reportedly acknowledged possessing methamphetamine in his vehicle. Following a search, deputies discovered meth and related drug paraphernalia in the car. Kriebel has been charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.
