Two individuals were taken into custody in Moscow for suspected involvement in drug-related activities.
The incident occurred on Monday morning at approximately 11:00 AM when a Moscow Police Officer responded to a report of individuals sleeping in a pickup truck on Lieuallen Street. The driver, identified as 31-year-old Shaun Claypool, allegedly informed the officer that they had used fentanyl. Following this, Claypool reportedly did not comply with the officer’s instructions and was subsequently arrested.
The Moscow Police Department’s drug detection dog, Ragnar, was brought to the scene and indicated the presence of drugs within the vehicle. A search of the truck revealed 27 fentanyl pills, methamphetamine, a weighing scale, and a significant amount of cash. Additionally, police found new power tools in their original packaging, which were taken as potential stolen property.
Along with Claypool, 28-year-old Cyra Cunningham and a man named Ruben Padilla were also present in the truck. Cunningham reportedly stated that she occasionally sells drugs to earn extra money.
Claypool and Cunningham face charges for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, while Padilla was arrested on a warrant and for possession of drug paraphernalia. The records do not disclose the origins of Claypool, Cunningham, and Padilla.
