A 75-year-old man from Clarkston sustained injuries in a truck accident on U.S. Highway 195 near Rosalia early Wednesday morning.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the incident took place approximately six miles south of Rosalia around 3:00 AM. The driver, Eugene Long, was operating a box truck heading northbound when he swerved to avoid a deer, resulting in the vehicle rolling off the highway. Long was subsequently airlifted to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, where he is being treated for injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
