The City of Moscow will conduct a household income survey starting September 22, targeting randomly selected residents. This survey aims to gather data necessary for determining eligibility for future funding from the Idaho Community Development Block Grant program.

The information collected will help assess community income levels, which is essential for securing grants that can enhance public amenities and infrastructure projects.

Previous funding has facilitated various community improvements, including $125,000 for ADA-accessible restrooms at Indian Hills Park in 2024, $175,000 for restroom renovations at Mountain View Park in 2023, and over $600,000 allocated for two fire engines in recent years. Additionally, funds have supported downtown revitalization efforts and upgrades to facilities such as the 1912 Center.

This survey adheres to the federal Housing and Urban Development guidelines and aims to reflect a representative sample of the Moscow community.

Residents can complete the survey in under five minutes, and all responses will be kept anonymous and confidential. The data collected will be used solely to document community income levels for grant application purposes.

For those interested in previewing the questions, a sample survey is available.
