A 20-year-old man from Rosalia was injured in a motorcycle accident in Tekoa on Saturday morning.

According to the Whitman County Sheriff’s office, the incident took place around 11:00 AM at the intersection of Poplar and Washington Streets. Reports indicate that the motorcyclist, Bryce Casey, attempted to overtake a truck that was making a turn. This resulted in a collision with the truck, causing Casey to be ejected from his motorcycle. He sustained serious injuries and was subsequently transported by air to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. The driver and passenger in the truck reported minor injuries. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, with preliminary findings suggesting that both speed and unsafe passing may have contributed to the incident.
