The White Pine Fire in North Latah County has grown to over 500 acres as of mid-Tuesday morning, now measured at 523 acres, an increase from the 406 acres reported on Monday afternoon. The fire is currently at 10% containment. The U.S. Forest Service is managing the firefighting efforts. The fire began last month during the Labor Day weekend and was 30 acres late last week.
