Mari Timlin, Chief Nursing Officer at Gritman Medical Center, will retire this September after serving for over four years. Timlin initially joined Gritman as interim CNO in 2021 but opted to remain in the position due to the hospital’s community focus and independence.
During her leadership, Timlin implemented the Daily Safety Huddle to enhance communication across the hospital and cultivated a supportive environment among the clinical staff. She guided the nursing team through the challenges of the pandemic, leveraging her extensive experience in healthcare, which spans over two decades.
Timlin expressed admiration for the organization’s culture and the range of services provided, noting their unexpected breadth for a rural community hospital.
In retirement, she plans to spend time traveling between Colorado, mainland Europe, and Ireland, with a focus on family.
Edie Wade, who has a long history with Gritman as the Specialty Clinic Director, will take over the role of CNO following Timlin’s departure.
