The Idaho Department of Lands and Moscow Rural Volunteer Firefighters responded to a fire on Moscow Mountain Thursday morning. The fire was located on the South slope of the peak and may have been caused by lightning. The smoldering fire covers an area of approximately half an acre. IDL crews remained on site to manage the situation.
