The Palouse Audubon Society will host a presentation on Wednesday, September 17, at 7:00 pm at the 1912 Center in Moscow. This event will feature research focused on the impact of forestry practices on bird species in Idaho.

Miles Butler, representing the University of Idaho Student Chapter of The Wildlife Society, will discuss a research project aimed at evaluating how silviculture practices influence declining populations of songbirds.

As part of their study, student researchers installed acoustic sensors at five locations within the University of Idaho Experimental Forest, located near Potlatch, to capture bird vocalizations during early morning and evening choruses.

The presentation is open to all individuals, including members of the Palouse Audubon Society and the general public.
