Anglers can resume keeping adult wild chinook salmon starting on Saturday.

Recently, both Idaho and Washington announced a closure of the fall season for wild chinook due to a late arrival of the fish run, which was attributed to warm water temperatures. However, with the cooling of the Snake River, the retention of wild chinook is now permitted again. Throughout the season, anglers have already been allowed to keep clipped hatchery fish.
