The burn ban along the Snake River in Southern Whitman County is set to be lifted on Saturday.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers enforces an annual campfire ban at its recreational sites along the river from June 10th to October 10th.

This summer, Whitman County Fire District 14, based in Colton/Uniontown, extended the burn ban to include the canyon lands between the breaks and Wawawai Road. This ban will also be lifted on Saturday.
