The Moscow School District’s computer network was shut down following a reported hack. Superintendent Shawn Tiegs communicated the situation to district families, students, and staff via email earlier this week. According to Tiegs, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security notified Moscow Schools about the hack last Friday. In response, district officials disconnected all external connections to the computer network after school that day. The district’s IT staff, along with cyber security specialists, are currently investigating the incident and working to restore network functionality. The hack has affected classroom instruction.
