Local Idaho voters face several decisions during the upcoming election on Tuesday.

Voters will elect a new mayor for Moscow, with candidates Hailey Lewis and Alex Simon competing for the position being vacated by Art Bettge, who will not seek re-election. Additionally, there are races for three available seats on the Moscow City Council, with candidates Stephen Bonnar, Evan Holmes, Sage McCetich, Gary Schoolland, John Slagboom, Ben Stellmon, Scott Sumner, and Gina Taruscio all vying for the posts. Voters have the option to select up to three candidates.

A contested election for the Moscow School Board is taking place between Kenan Lauder and Brian Kennedy.

In other parts of Latah County, there are contested races for two council posts in Deary. Juliaetta voters will decide on four council positions. The Kendrick ballot features a mayoral race and a school levy. In Potlatch, there are races for two city council seats. Troy voters will make decisions regarding the mayor’s race, two city council seats, and a school levy. Additionally, there are two contested races for commissioner positions in the Bovill Fire District. Voters in the Moscow Cemetery District will determine the outcome of two commissioner posts, while Genesee voters will consider a school levy.

Polls will be open in Idaho on Tuesday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
