Last weekend, there were initial reports of vandalism involving the new Joe Vandal statue at the University of Idaho. The 9-foot tall, 2,000-pound bronze statue was unveiled to the public outside the P1FCU Kibbie Dome on Saturday afternoon. Moscow Police investigated a report on Sunday morning that someone had spray-painted the word “go” on the back of the statue. However, University of Idaho officials later clarified that the marks observed on the statue were, in fact, damage that occurred during shipping.
