Accomplished researcher and educator Dr. Partha Pande has been appointed as the new dean of WSU’s Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture, effective April 16, following his role as interim dean since February 2024.

Provost and Executive Vice President Chris Riley-Tillman highlighted Pande’s commitment to collaboration and engagement with the college’s community, including faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders, during his time as interim dean.

Pande expressed his enthusiasm for leading the Voiland College, emphasizing the importance of the faculty, staff, and students in addressing significant societal challenges and contributing to advancements in various fields, including artificial intelligence, semiconductors, cybersecurity, materials discovery, and energy resources.

Dr. Pande has previously served as director of the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and held the Boeing Centennial Chair of Computer Engineering. He has co-authored over 250 research papers and conference proceedings, garnering nearly 10,000 citations for his work.
