Broadcast journalist Harry Smith has been named the Murrow Award winner from Washington State University for this year.

Smith has had a career in anchoring and reporting for various networks, including CBS News, A & E, The History Channel, and NBC News. He has received multiple Emmy Awards throughout his career.

The award presentation will take place during the 49th Annual Murrow Symposium in April, which is hosted by the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at WSU.
