Camping at Kamiak Butte County Park, located north of Pullman, will be available this weekend before a scheduled closure. The Whitman County Parks Department is set to repair the water system in the park, leading to the closure of the Kamiak Butte campground starting Monday. Additionally, the entire park may need to close for several weeks at some point this spring. The department had previously indicated that the repair work would begin next month.
