**Four Star Supply Fined for Diesel Spill**
Four Star Supply has received a fine exceeding $100,000 from the federal government due to a diesel spill that occurred in 2022 at their Pullman store.
In April 2022, fuel was discovered leaking from an aging tank, which was over 85 years old. The Washington State Department of Ecology reported that approximately 450 gallons of diesel spilled, with most of the fuel absorbed into the soil. However, around 100 gallons made its way into the South Fork of the Palouse River.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has imposed a fine of $111,000 on Four Star Supply after identifying nine violations of federal regulations related to fuel storage.
Additionally, the Washington State Department of Ecology previously fined Four Star Supply $34,000 in June 2023 for the same incident.
