The Neill Public Library will be closed on May 16 and 17 for the replacement of its management software. During this period, the library’s online catalogue will also be unavailable.
The library in Pullman has utilized the same software for over 20 years and expects that the new system will enhance the library experience for both patrons and staff. Furthermore, the new software is projected to save the city approximately $20,000 annually.
Dan Owens, the Neill Public Library Director, stated, “We’re excited to introduce a new online catalog to our patrons and appreciate their patience during the brief closure needed to transition all records from the old software to the new one. Additionally, the new software is anticipated to improve staff efficiency while reducing costs for the library, the City, and the taxpayers of Pullman.”
The library is planned to reopen on Monday, May 19, with access to the online catalogue restored.
