An active shooter training drill is scheduled to take place at Colfax High School on Wednesday. The Whitman County Department of Emergency Management is organizing this mass casualty training exercise in collaboration with local school districts, emergency responders, law enforcement agencies, and Whitman Hospital & Medical Clinics. The drill will occur from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM in and around Colfax High School. During this time, traffic will be redirected around the high school and Jennings Elementary School. The public is advised that there will be a significant police presence and multiple emergency vehicles at the location, and this is a planned drill.
