Recent reports indicated that some visitors attempted to poke grizzly bears through the fence using sticks. It is important to note that injuring a research animal in Washington is considered a felony, which may result in a penalty of up to five years in prison and a fine of $10,000. Furthermore, the Bear Center is under surveillance by security cameras, and any illegal activities will be recorded and reported.
