The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) is inviting public feedback on its proposed highway projects for the upcoming seven years.

In Latah County, several projects are in the pipeline. These include the construction of a southbound passing lane for U.S. Highway 95 near Freeze Road, situated north of the Potlatch junction. Another initiative involves enhancements to the Potlatch junction where U.S. Highway 95 intersects with State Highway 6. Additionally, ITD plans to extend passing lanes and improve the curves on U.S. Highway 95 over Crooks Hill, located north of Viola. Lastly, there is a proposal to construct a new State Highway 8 bridge over Little Bear Creek in Troy.

Public comments on these proposed projects are currently being accepted through this month. More information can be found at the ITD website: https://itd.idaho.gov/funding/.
