A new book titled “The Idaho Four: An American Tragedy” is set to be released on Monday, focusing on the high-profile murder case involving Bryan Kohberger. Kohberger, a former student at Washington State University, recently pleaded guilty to the stabbing deaths of four University of Idaho students—Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin—at a rental home in Moscow, Idaho, in November 2022. Under the terms of a plea agreement, Kohberger is expected to receive four consecutive life sentences when he is sentenced later this month.
The book is co-authored by bestselling author James Patterson and investigative journalist Vicky Ward, who conducted extensive interviews with the victims’ families and local officials to provide a comprehensive overview of the case. It explores the impact of the tragic events on the victims’ loved ones and the surrounding community of Moscow and Pullman.
In addition to interviews with the victims’ families, the book features insights from Evan Ellis, the longtime News Director at Pullman Radio, who has discussed the case with Ward multiple times. Ward will also engage in a discussion about the book with Ellis during the Monday Morning News on AM 1150 KQQQ. Interested listeners can tune in to the interview live via the provided streaming link.
