Amazon has announced the opening of a warehouse, referred to as a delivery station, on the Palouse. The facility, which spans 28,000 square feet, is located north of the Moscow-Pullman highway near the Washington state line in Whitman County. This new delivery station opened this month and is expected to create hundreds of jobs. The project is part of a larger $4 billion investment by Amazon aimed at improving delivery speed in rural areas of the United States. The delivery station will enable same-day delivery for a range of items, including groceries, household goods, and personal care products.

The initiative was first revealed last year when a development company associated with Amazon submitted plans for the facility to Whitman County.
