The Appaloosa Museum & Heritage Center in Moscow has officially closed its physical location as of Monday. Starting next month, the museum will transition to a virtual format. Officials announced in January via Facebook that the museum building on Pullman Road at the state line was being sold. The building has since been sold, and the museum must vacate the premises by the end of the month. According to the announcement, the museum plans to relocate to a new site in the Inland Northwest, though the specific location has not yet been disclosed. Reports from the Moscow-Pullman Daily News indicated that the decision to sell the building was influenced by the estimated $350,000 cost required to repair the museum’s leaky roof. The Appaloosa Museum & Heritage Center has been in operation for 50 years.
