Ron Morgan of Pullman has decided not to run for the Whitman County Commissioner position this year. He had previously declared his candidacy following the appointment of Chad Whetzel to the post last month. Dean Janikowski is hosting the 3rd Annual Kicking Cancer fundraiser on Friday night in Pullman. The event will take place at Zeppoz from 5:00 to 9:00 and will feature a bowling tournament along with live and silent auctions. Proceeds from the event will support local cancer patients. The fundraiser is organized by Dean’s foundation.
Acclaimed writer-director and University of Idaho alumna Megan Griffiths will return to Moscow as the first recipient of the KINO Short Film Festival’s Trailblazer Award. The festival is set to celebrate its 25th anniversary on April 25-26 at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Center. Griffiths has achieved recognition in her field.
