A pilot reported observing a drone flying near their aircraft at an altitude of 13,000 feet over Tekoa on Thursday afternoon. The Whitman County Sheriff’s Office received the report around 6:00 PM. Air traffic control in Seattle was notified by the pilot, and controllers subsequently informed the Spokane County authorities.

Acting Pullman Police Chief Aaron Breshears has been nominated by Pullman Mayor Francis Benjamin to assume the role of permanent police chief.
