A section of State Route 272 between Colfax and Palouse will be closed on Wednesday due to culvert replacement work. The Moscow Rural Fire Department responded to a wildfire that occurred East of town Monday afternoon. Fire units were dispatched to the scene off Crumarine Loop Road shortly after 12:00. Chief Brian Nickerson indicated that the fire may have been ignited by a spark from a farm implement in use at the time.
