Brush Creek Road north of Deary is currently closed as firefighting crews work to manage the Cherry Fire. The Latah County Sheriff’s Office has implemented the closure to assist the firefighting efforts. The fire has affected approximately 130 acres north of the town. As of now, there are no evacuation orders in effect.
