Bryan Kohberger has reportedly agreed to plead guilty to all charges related to the murders of four University of Idaho students, which will prevent a potential death penalty sentence. He is expected to receive four consecutive life sentences and will waive his right to an appeal.
This development comes just weeks prior to Kohberger’s scheduled trial, where he was facing four counts of first-degree murder and one count of burglary in connection with the deaths of Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin in November 2022.
The Goncalves family expressed their emotions regarding the situation on social media, requesting privacy and time to process the news. A court hearing in this case has been set for July 2.
