Plans for a second Chick-fil-A location in Moscow are moving forward, as the national chain has confirmed that it will expand to Palouse Place.

Moscow Mayor Art Bettge announced last winter that a second Chick-fil-A would be established in town, with plans indicating it would occupy the site of the former Sangria restaurant. However, initial construction efforts did not progress, and the reference to the new location was subsequently removed from the mall’s website. Earlier this summer, Chick-fil-A communicated to Pullman Radio News that there were no plans for a second location in Moscow.

Recently, demolition crews have started work on the old Sangria building, and Chick-fil-A Inc. has now confirmed that it will be the site of a new restaurant. According to the company, the locally owned and operated Chick-fil-A will create up to 120 job opportunities.

Additionally, there is an existing Chick-fil-A location within the student union building at the University of Idaho. It is noteworthy that Palouse Place was previously known as Palouse Mall.
