The City of Pullman has received a significant state grant to support the development of a proposed Veterans Memorial Park, contingent upon its completion by the end of 2027.
The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program has allocated $500,000 to the city, which represents the maximum allowed under the program’s Local Parks Category. The overall project is projected to cost approximately $1.75 million, with around $1 million already secured through the grant and donations. The local American Legion Post 52 is leading the fundraising efforts for the park.
The Veterans Memorial Park is planned to be located adjacent to the City of Pullman Cemetery in the southern part of town.
