The 2025 class of the Pullman Walk of Fame has been announced, featuring several notable individuals.

Pat and Laurie Caraher are among those being inducted. Pat Caraher, who passed away in March, dedicated 35 years to his role as editor of Washington State University’s alumni publications. Laurie Caraher contributed to education for 19 years as a music teacher at Franklin Elementary in Pullman and has led the choir at Sacred Heart Church for 45 years.

Also included in the class are Gary Schell and his wife Sue. Gary had a lengthy career in Pullman, primarily in banking, real estate, and property management. Sue taught elementary school for 26 years.

Additionally, Dave Cillay, the WSU Global Campus Chancellor and former Pullman Campus Chancellor, is being recognized for over 30 years of service in the community.

Henry Rono, a WSU alumnus and noted athlete, is being inducted as well. Rono, recognized as the PAC-12’s men’s track and field Athlete of the Century, set four world records in distance running in 1978 and won six NCAA titles.

The induction ceremony is scheduled for Friday, August 15th at 6:00 PM at the Pullman Depot and Heritage Center. Inductees will receive a commemorative plaque. The walk of fame, which began in 2003 and is managed by the Pullman Chamber of Commerce, previously featured sidewalk plaques in downtown Pullman; however, those were removed due to the recent reconstruction of Main Street.
