The National Weather Service has issued a warning for residents in the Palouse regarding extreme cold weather expected from 8 PM on February 10 to 12 PM on February 12.

Wind chills are anticipated to reach 5° to 10° below zero during this period, which may pose a risk of hypothermia if precautions are not observed.

The affected areas include Pullman, Moscow, Colfax, Coeur d’Alene, Spokane, Potlatch, and surrounding towns.

It is advised to exercise caution when traveling outside and to dress appropriately with hats and gloves before leaving the house.
