The Whitman County Library and Community Action Center are collaborating to provide energy assistance to community members.
A representative will be available to meet with residents at the Colfax Library on May 14 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm in the library’s downstairs meeting room to assist with applications for energy assistance programs.
Residents from various income levels are encouraged to apply for these programs. Attendees should bring the following information:
– Social Security cards, birth certificates, or passports for all household members
– Photo ID for all adults
– Proof of Whitman County residency
– Proof of income (before taxes or deductions) for the previous three months
– Current energy bill
– If applicable, proof of college financial aid
– If applicable, proof of child support payments
To schedule an appointment, contact the Community Action Center at (509) 334-9147. Walk-ins will be accepted from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm only.
