The Idaho Transportation Department has announced that construction will commence next week on US-95 near Ferdinand. The project aims to improve traffic flow and enhance passing opportunities on the roadway.
Drivers should anticipate a speed limit reduction to 45 mph in the work zone during daytime hours and 55 mph during non-working hours. Intermittent flagging and alternating traffic may also be present, potentially adding approximately 15 minutes to travel times.
The construction of the 1.1-mile passing lane is projected to be completed by the end of August.
