Update (8/11/25 @ 4:55 pm): The Latah County Sheriff’s Office has lifted evacuation orders for the Lamb Fire located south of Troy.

Residents are permitted to return to the area; however, fire crews will continue to conduct operations in the vicinity over the next few days. As a result, residents may observe smoke in the area for several days.

The Latah County Sheriff’s Office has provided an evacuation map indicating that the Lamb Fire has reached 80 acres as of earlier today.

Current evacuations are in effect for Driscoll Ridge Road and Lamb Road outside of Troy. Residents along Driscoll Ridge to Sumner Road, Bartho Lane, and Lamb Road are advised to evacuate immediately.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, with firefighting resources deployed to contain the blaze.
