A fire occurred early Sunday morning at a home in Moscow, resulting in significant damage. Volunteer Firefighters from the City of Moscow responded to the incident on Appaloosa Road, near the University of Idaho golf course, shortly after receiving the call at approximately 2:30 AM. Firefighters arrived on the scene within seven minutes to find heavy smoke and flames breaking through the roof of the residence. An exterior attack on the fire was initiated promptly.

Fortunately, a family of five, including three children, evacuated the home without injury. The Red Cross has been contacted to provide assistance to the affected family. Additionally, a neighboring home experienced some exterior heat damage due to the fire. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and assistance from Moscow Police and the City of Pullman Fire Department was also requested.
