As temperatures rise, various local jurisdictions are implementing burning restrictions.
In the City of Kendrick, a burn ban has been established, and the discharge of fireworks is not allowed within city limits. Similarly, in the City of Juliaetta, the volunteer fire department has decided to suspend burn permits, and the use of fireworks is prohibited. Additionally, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife has announced a burn ban for its agency lands, which includes public access areas at the south end of Rock Lake in Whitman County near St. John. This burn ban will take effect on Tuesday.
